49 Motorsports fought through a tough race to capture their second win of the West Season in the penultimate round at Road America. Dexter Castro and Jere Jänis managed to recover from a few spins as well as a hard fought battle mid race from Black Adder Motorsports #67. The win put the 49 Motorsports BWW Z4 GT3 tied for first with fellow manufacture competitor Online-SimRacing.de.

Bad Cactus Racing brought home their Mercedes AMG GT3 in second place. The teams third podium of the season kept them in the hunt for the championship. Ryan Wallace and Brandon Egercic had a fairly uneventful race at Road America only recieving 7 incident points in the entire race. They currently sit in 3rd only eight points back in the championship behind 49 Motorsports and Online-SimRacing.de.

Coming off of their maiden with at Laguna Seca, Online-SimRacing.de gathered a podium finish keeping them the most consistent GTD team in the West Season with no finish lower than fourth. While they didn't have the pace the front runners had at Road America, Online-SimRacing.de kept their BMW Z4 GT3 out of trouble and took advantage of their competitors mishaps. The team is looking for a good result at Circuit of the Americas to hopefully capture the team championship.

The race favorites of Sweet Spot Racing and Hammer Down Racing both had trouble which ended their race before the finish. Sweet Spot Racing dropped a tire in the grass under braking at top speed on lap 3 while entering Canada Corner resulting in heavy damage to their Mercedes AMG GT3 which unfortunately ended their race. This handed the lead over to Hammer Down Racing who was running a flawless race until the bumps on the exit of T13 sent the car into the wall eventually ending their race.
