Winner Take All in GTD Championship

As the DGFX WeatherTech SportsCar Series heads to the final round of the West Championship in Texas, it is a winner take all scenario in the GTD Championship. Online-SimRacing.de and 49 Motorsports are tied at the top with 136 points. Bad Cactus Racing is not far off only 8 points back, still within reach of the championship.

Online-SimRacing.de is looking for another good result this weekend at Circuit of the America's. So far this season, they have captured two fourth place finishes a third place finish and a win. The #991 entry is looking for another good result as the team has clinched their top 3 finishing position in the West Championship and are only 6 points back from the lead in the Overall Championship.

Just as with Online-SimRacing.de, 49 Motorsports are looking for another good result. They have only finished off the podium in one of the races this season and have scored two wins, more than any other GTD team so far this season. 49 Motorsports know that scoring points in the final race will clinch their spot in the top three for the Overall Championship.

Bad Cactus Racing are still looking for their first win of 2016 but have been very consistent in the West Season with two second place finishes and one third. They need a good result at COTA in order to jump to the top of the standings, as well as some unfortunate luck from their competitors. Either 49 Motorsports or Online-SimRacing.de need a third place finish to keep Bad Cactus Racing from winning the West Season Championship.
