***Global Sim Racing Channel is back on board to bring everyone flag to flag coverage of the 2016 season finale.

***Road Atlanta is expected to have the highest lap count of the 2016 season. With an average lap time around 1:15 for the Prototype's, DGFX Organizers are predicting somewhere between 270 and 280 laps completed if the race goes green the whole way.

***GTD Balance of Performance will not change from previous rounds. As expected organizers did not think that the BoP would require any adjustments after the 2016 opening round at Daytona.

***The Prototype Overall Championship is still up for grabs but essentially a two team battle. West newcomers vApex Racing Group - Green has an 8 point lead over Black Adder Motorsport #68. While it is still mathematically possible 3rd place East Season Champions, 8or80, to have an outside chance at winning the Overall Championship, they currently sit 24 points back and would need to win with vApex Racing Group - Green having finished no higher than P15 and Black Adder Motorsport #68 no higher than P8. With a max of 15 anticipated entries but only 9-12 expected entries come race day, it seems as though 8or80's hopes of capturing the Overall Championship are slim to none.

***As with the Prototypes, the GTD Overall Championship is still up for grabs and is essentially a two team battle. What can only be described as an unforeseen outcome, the remaining two teams in the championship are driving what has often been referred to as the underdog of the GT3 cars available in the DGFX Series, the BMW Z4 GT3. 49 Motorsports carry a 3 point lead over Online-SimRacing.de. Both teams essentially are in a repeat of COTA with a winner take all scenario and combined between both teams only having one finished outside of the top 4 and two more finishes off the podium in the last 5 races, it is shaping up to be a great final race of the season. Bad Cactus Racing's Mercedes AMG GT3 sits P3 in the standings, 21 points back. As with 8or80, they are not mathematically out of the championship but would need to capture their first win of 2016 and 49 Motorsports would have to finish no higher than P11 with Online-SimRacing.de finishing no higher than P9. Again as with Prototype's, with a max of 15 anticipated entries but only 9-12 expected entries come race day it seems as though Bad Cactus Racing's hopes at winning the championship are very slim.

***DGFX Organizers are looking forward to the final race of 2016 as all of their focus can shift over to 2017. This season the series introduced some key new features to aid in keeping the participation up throughout the entire year and while it was more successful than 2015, the DGFX team see better options to keep the series improving going into 2017.
